About Me
I am a North Carolina Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA), Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist (LCAS), and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS) with over 13 years of experience providing psychotherapy to individuals.
At the core of my work is a belief that people are doing the best they can with the resources available to them. I strive to create a warm, validating, and nonjudgmental space where clients feel safe to explore their internal experiences at their own pace. I am especially passionate about working with individuals navigating trauma, overwhelming life circumstances, and challenges related to self-worth, identity, and emotional regulation. Much of my work has focused on supporting adolescents and adult women in developing a more compassionate relationship with themselves and building lives that feel more stable, intentional, and fulfilling.
My social locators: white, LGBTQ+, middle class, parent, geriatric millennial
My Approach to Therapy
I am good at meeting people where they are at, and have gotten the feedback that I’m a good therapist to folks who have had previous negative experiences and/or “no results” from therapy attempts in the past. I’m rooted in non-judgement, and I am not easily shocked or panicked, yet I would not say I’m desensitized either. I am genuinely passionate about helping clients build insight, regulate intense emotions, and create meaningful, lasting change.
My Therapy Orientation: trauma informed, psychodynamic, DBT (full model and radically open DBT), CBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, Mindfulness, person-centered, Feminist
Areas of expertise: trauma and C-PTSD / PTSD, suicidal ideation, self harm, abuse survivors, borderline personality disorder, substance use, dual-diagnosis
