About Me

I’m a Pennsylvania (CW021665) and North Carolina (C015956) Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I am going into my 10th year of experience as a psychotherapist. I started clinical work in 2016.

Before becoming a psychotherapist, I spent a decade working in disability services in various roles (special needs nanny, direct support, case management, program coordination, staff supervisor & trainer) supporting people with intellectual, developmental and/or physical disabilities. I’ve worked in private homes, community based programs, schools, and non profits. My clinical work is highly informed by supporting disabled (and often multiply marginalized) individuals and their families in hostile systems they had no choice but to navigate through. Overall, I hold 20 years of experience in Carework.

In addition to maintaining a full caseload, I am also the practice owner of BGT. I manage the group practice and am also building out the Adjunct Psychotherapist Program. Neither program is designed to be profitable until full, and I am proud to be building non-extractive employment models that support other careworkers in tangible ways.

My social locators: white, LGBTQ+, middle class, parent, jewish family system, geriatric millennial

My Approach to Therapy

My approach to therapy is a consistent, authentic and collaborative vibe. I can be direct, but I’ve been told my delivery is grounded in warmth and nonjudgment. I prioritize fostering emotional safety and truly enjoy co-constructing authentic and trusting relationships that are rooted in real connection, and are explorative and generative.

My Therapy Orientation: relational, psychodynamic, EFT, EMDR, harm reduction, and polyvagal theory with sprinkles of Gottman, IFS/parts work, and ERP.

Areas of expertise: complex trauma, sex & relationships, gender, systemic context, developmental context & stages, parenting, and neurodivergence (Autism, AuDHD, ADHD, C-PTSD, OCD, PDA profiles).

I love working with mixed-identity (in neurotype, race, health status, orientation, ideology, etc) couples and adult family systems, supporting parents, supporting other therapists, and doing longterm relational trauma work with adults.

I’ve supported individuals and relationships with: trauma work (which includes: increasing self regulation/soothing, somatic relief, boundaries, reparenting, grief practices, liberation practices, contextualizing shame and insecurities & building frameworks rooted in self compassion and self accommodation), late-diagnosed & lifelong neurodivergent journeys, chronic illness & disability life, interpersonal dynamics and cycles of conflict, nontraditional relationships, navigating complex family of origin relationships, building power analysis, and more.
